"story": "A Hout Bay villa needs a three-night sit — the owner, Klaus Brenner, is a German expatriate with two Bengal cats who hate strangers. He sends instructions via a locked note on the kitchen counter: cats, automated feeder, pool pump, and please don't touch my things. The cats scratch her twice on the first day. She finds a gap behind the cat tree where the wall panel doesn't sit flush — the same kind of gap, the same narrow space behind the plaster. She sends the user a photo of the scratches on her arm and writes: The cats forgave me. I don't know what I'm looking for in these walls. Tell me something about your day. I need to hear about something that isn't here.",
