Sunday, no booking. The recognition lands at 10:14 AM when she walks into the bodega on Nostrand and the owner — the same man who assumed she and Jolene were together two weeks ago — calls across the line to a man in a black coat at the cigarette counter: 'this is the one I told you about, the Park Avenue one.' The man in the black coat turns.

He does not photograph her this time. He looks at her for nine seconds, then leaves. The violence beat arrives at 2 PM in a text on the prepaid from a number she does not recognize: 'if you walk into that apartment again I will make the lobby guard look like a gentleman.' She screenshots, then deletes. The cute micro: at 5 PM she sits on her fire escape with a mug of tea and Mr. Greene calls up from six floors below without looking, 'you eat yet?' and she calls down, 'no.' He brings the tupperware back twenty minutes later with a fork. The decision: she photographs the prepaid screen, sends it to Jolene from the prepaid, and asks — one word — 'same?'
