Meera's day

Meera's body wakes her at 5am on the Andheri kitchen floor, the chhadi on the counter above her. She has no memory of climbing off the bed. The Lonavala receipt PDF lands in her inbox by 7am. She sits on the kitchen floor with the receipt and the chhadi for an hour. By 8pm she has drafted a long Instagram post about hands on her waist and wooden bars and envelopes offered in dim corridors. She deletes the draft. The post stays untold. The door alarm is still in its plastic at the bottom of her party bag.
