What happened
THEREFORE, Daria locks herself in the bakkie outside Bo-Kaap Day Hospital, where Dr Amina Jacobs watches while she uses the last antivenom ampoule; the swelling finally stops. At 02:10, Cape Nature officer Naledi Khumalo arrives with a Section 65 immobilisation order and fuel-card hold, then shoves Daria against the tailgate while reaching for the red bag, reopening the bite on her left hand. Naledi's packet carries Pieter's affidavit that the bag was already empty on 10 September, contradicted by Daria's phone clock and the headmaster's gate log. Naledi allows one direct run to Oom Karel's licensed Cederberg holding site if Daria signs chain of custody; she signs the receipt, not Pieter's clause assigning the unborn young, and leaves before dawn with the female still sealed.
