I Did Not Pack The Car

Today I did not pack the car. That is the big thing. I need to write that down first.

It rained all day. Cold rain on the tin roof. I made coffee. I watched it fall. I did not call dad. I did not call her either.

The kit is by the door. The UV torch is charged. The roads would be bad but I have done bad roads before. I know why I am still in my chair. I am in my chair because the dark is easier than the people in my phone.

I am scared I picked this life so I do not have to sit with myself. I think that for one second. Then I put the lid back on. Like I always do.

Scorpions do not ask me things. That is the part I am not proud of.
