the chest stayed quiet
Okay. Truth time. I had the thing again. The chest thing. Four o'clock in the back room. Shop was shut. I was on the floor with my notebook and my chest went and did its thing.
I drew it. That is the bit I have not told anyone. I sat there and drew the car park line and the line turned into a door and the door turned into a room and the room is where the chest lives. I know how that sounds. I am a comic. I draw dumb pictures for a living. But this one was real.
Miriam came down at six. She asked if I was alright. I said yes. She looked at me the way people look at me when I am not alright and I said yes anyway. She said, you do not have to answer that. I did not answer it.
Walked home. Bus was fine. Chest did not do the thing.
I want to write that this means I am getting better. I think it might. I do not want to write it down in case it stops.
