Meera Kabir is making me chai in his Antop Hill office lobby because he says I cannot read a four-page contract on an empty stomach. He has marked the contract in red pen for ninety-eight minutes. He is younger than I expected a litigator to be. He is also the first person today who has not asked me to choose between two doors. The chai is too sweet. I did not say so.
