   A treasure hunter enters a sea cave for a client, finds her client's marked family gold, and must keep it while Jin blocks the safe path with a hook.

   I am a treasure hunter, and Mrs. Han hired me to clear Mr. Han, a retired port worker blamed for stealing their family gold. The chest is gone.

   A coast guard sent me into the sea cave to find it. Mrs. Han stayed on shore, so I followed the wet wall and searched under the fallen sand.

   I found one small gold bar. It had a tiny cut in one corner, like every bar from Mrs. Han's old family chest. My hands shook, but I kept it.

   Then Jin, the man who hid the chest, blocked the only safe exit. He had my cave map, and he told me to drop the marked bar and give him the rest.

   Jin pulled my arm and crushed me against the rock. He raised his hook, but I pinned the bar under my boot and forced him toward the rising water.

   I broke free with the marked bar and kept it, then took the lower passage to the chest. To reach it, I have to trust Jin with the upper path.

   Jin Tears the Map

   Seo-yeon trusts Jin with part of her cave map, but he steals it and forces her to remember the route to Mrs. Han's stolen chest alone.

   I trusted Jin with the upper path because he was blocking the water. Mrs. Han hired me to save her family chest and clear Mr. Han. He took my map.

   Jin smiled, pulled the map from my hand, and tore off the lower route before I could grab it. His hook stayed near my coat while I tried to take it back.

   I could not reach the coast road with Jin behind me, so I hid inside the cave. I watched his light move through the water and waited for him to pass.

   Then I placed each stone in my memory. I knew the wall, the deep turn, and the place where foam first touched the lower path. The map was not the only route.

   I kept the marked bar and went deeper by myself. Mrs. Han will have to stand beside me when I show the coast guard that this gold is hers.

   The Ledger Shocked Me

   A treasure hunter recovers a ledger from a condemned hanok and must decide whether to follow a private collector's coercive offer.

   I am a treasure hunter. Restaurateur Min Seora hired me to open this condemned hanok wall in Gyeongju before the floor is torn out.

   I found the ledger under the study wall. One hooked numeral stopped me cold because my grandfather corrected every survey the same way.

   I thought it led to treasure. My hands started shaking before I even read the next page.

   The entries were gambling debts. The dead owner had hidden cash beside them, but he was not hiding wealth.

   I gave Min Seora the ledger before anyone could take the cash. The proof was back in the hands of the person who hired me.

   That night, Baek Dohyun, a private collector, messaged me. He offered to keep rival hunter Han Jisu out of a report if I gave him private access.

   I sent Baek Dohyun the boundary mark instead. He sent a Mapo auction-house address, so I had found his next trail.

   The Bell Exposed Baek

   A marine broker publicly accuses a treasure hunter of fixing illegal locations, but she must prove the ship bell was stolen before a crowd can destroy her credibility.

   I entered this Busan salvage auction because collector Baek Dohyun used public buyers as bait. Marine broker Cho Yeongho was checking a stolen ship bell.

   Cho Yeongho called me Baek Dohyun's illegal-location fixer before I answered. Every bidder turned its phone on me.

   The bell had a thin replacement seam around its crown. I matched its serial number to Cho Yeongho's manifest while everyone watched.

   The rightful owner withdrew the bell before paying. That proof cleared me from the room, and Cho Yeongho had to admit his accusation was wrong.

   I found Baek Dohyun's wax around a buckle under the cradle. The lot record names his network, and the next marked object is waiting in Incheon.

   Baek Branded Me His Partner

   A private collector publicly brands a treasure hunter as his partner and uses unwanted closeness to force cooperation during a buyer preview.

   Collector Baek Dohyun invited me to a private preview. He stood before three private buyers and called me his contracted salvage partner.

   Baek Dohyun put a hand at my lower back and steered me toward his chair. I stepped away before the buyers saw me accept it.

   Harbor mist marked my jacket, and Baek Dohyun offered his coat. He kept leaning closer, so I thanked him without taking it.

   The copied route depends on sea level and magnetic north. I noticed Baek Dohyun's copy left out those original survey notes.

   Baek Dohyun granted me supervised daylight access to the Maru for one plausible correction. I kept my real calculation hidden.

   I left with access to the vessel and my grandfather's notebook safe inside my sattache. Baek Dohyun's buyer stamp was my next trail.

   The Courier Left Empty-Handed

   A treasure hunter recovers a sealed cinema trunk and defeats a collector's courier by forcing its owner to record who truly found it.

   Cinema owner Chun Miae hired me to open this sealed stagehand's trunk at the closed Harbor Picture House before Incheon demolition workers removed it.

   I lifted the false bottom and found an undeveloped film reel beneath the lining. The trunk had not belonged to Baek Dohyun's auction crew.

   Baek Dohyun, the private collector, sent a courier with priority-custody papers before we had finished.

   Chun Miae crossed his name off the collection sheet and wrote me down as finder and witness. The courier left with an empty clipboard.

   The trunk's customs tag named the Maru as its departing vessel. Its buyer stamp matches Baek Dohyun's buckle, so I kept the reel for development.
