Meera He quoted Niharika's 20% undercut on a printed rate card and slid it across the table. I did not touch it. I wrote my number on the back of the cafe receipt, slid that back, and said the cafe wifi was slow but the chai was fine. He read the receipt twice. I read his collarbone gaze once.
